Kenyan international striker Michael Olunga’s move from Japanese J1 League side Kashiwa Reysol to Qatari top-flight outfit Al Duhail SC is almost done, reports indicate.
Olunga, 26, who was the top scorer in the last campaign for his Japanese club is rumoured is set to move in a six-figure deal to the moneybags from the Middle East as he seeks to have a new challenge in his career.
A leaked photo of the player in the Al Duhail jersey has already been revealed across Qatar by QSL News.
Early last week, it was reported in Japan that Kashiwa Reysol had already accepted a transfer fee of 7 million Euros (approximately KSh890m) from the Qatari club.
The player fondly known by his peers as Olunga is a product of Liberty Academy and before venturing professionally in 2016, had stints with Thika United, Gor Mahia, and Tusker FC.
He also prior to playing in Japan had stints in Djurgadenn IF in Sweden, GZ HengFeng in China, Girona FC in Spain, and finally Kashiwa Reysol three years ago.
Olunga is the Harambee Stars current crop top scorer with 18 goals to his name from 40 senior appearances.
He is managed by European Group EMG Mundial.
