The party further emphasised that only accredited delegates will be granted access to official events and venues.

The anniversary
ODM, in a statement issued by Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, described the 20th anniversary as both a commemoration of its journey and “a reflection on the struggles, victories, and lessons that continue to shape our vision for a just, united, and prosperous Kenya.”
He announced that the celebrations will feature a wide range of activities. Among them are a Youth Summit that brings together young leaders and visionaries, a Women’s Convention recognising the contribution of women to democratic struggles, and a vibrant Youth Concert showcasing talent and creativity within the Orange Movement.

Sport will also be part of the festivities, with a four-team football tournament involving AFC Leopards SC, Bandari FC, Gor Mahia FC, and Shabana FC, aimed at “symbolising unity through sport”.
According to Sifuna, the Mombasa events will be complemented by build-up activities across the country, with highlights in Migori and Wajir counties.
These, the ODM SG noted, reflect ODM’s “commitment to inclusivity and grassroots participation.”
“As we celebrate this milestone, we reaffirm ODM’s enduring pledge to the people of Kenya: to continue being the beacon of hope, the custodian of democracy, and the unrelenting defender of justice. We call on all our members, friends, and Kenyans of goodwill to join us in Mombasa as we celebrate 20 years of resilience,” stated Sifuna, who is also the Nairobi Senator.
