Gachagua showers wife Dorcas Rigathi with praises as she is ordained

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has showered his spouse, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, with praise during her ordination, describing her as a glue that has held his family.
In the ordination that was held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Wamunyoro farm in Nyeri County, Gachagua described how Pastor Dorcas’s ministry life has been a blessing to him and his sons.
“Pastor Dorcas is a blessing to my family; she is the glue that holds our family together; she is the matriarch in our small family, and all our lives revolve around her,” Gachagua added.
Gachagua revealed having been a firsthand witness of Dorcas’ unwavering dedication to the word of God from the earliest days of their meeting.
“I stand with profound joy to honour my wife on this sacred occasion of her ordination. From the earliest days, I have witnessed her unwavering dedication to the word of God,” Gachagua said.
While gushing over his wife, Gachagua confessed how her sermons and commitment to discipleship have led his family and their inner circle.
“Not only in her sermons but also through the life she has led as a committed disciple, teacher, and shepherd within our family and inner community,” he said.

Gachagua recalls Dorcas’ contribution
Gachagua went on expressing his pride in marrying Dorcas while confirming how his family has been privileged to be among the first to receive her ministry while witnessing the care, humility, and passion with which she has carried out her calling to serve others.
“Our household was privileged to be among the first to receive her ministry, and I have witnessed firsthand the care, humility, and passion with which she has carried out her calling to serve others,” Gachagua stated.
He also acknowledged Pastor Dorcas’ contribution to various groups in society.
“Her ministry has been a beacon of hope and compassion, reaching those who have often been overlooked by society: widows, orphans, people living with disabilities, and particularly the boy child,” he added.
On the other hand, Gachagua expressed his joy in witnessing his wife’s ordination, saying her faithful service embodies the qualities befitting a servant of Christ.
“Today, as she is ordained before this congregation into the ministry, I am proud not only as a husband but also as a witness to her integrity, compassion, and her faithful service as she embodies the qualities befitting a servant of Christ,” Gachagua said.
