‘God’s glory’: George Ruto’s Mood driver Lenny flaunts Mercedes GLE in latest lifestyle upgrade

Lenny, the popular driver of city matatu ‘Mood’, which belongs to President William Ruto’s son George Ruto, has flaunted a new Mercedes GLE as his life continues to change years after he was called over to start working as the driver of the flashy matatu.
In a video he shared on TikTok on Thursday, September 24, 2026, Lenny looked visibly happy as he drove the sleek white car, while also showing off a bouquet he was planning to gift to his fans and which he had carefully placed on the passenger seat.
The driver interacted with fans who had stopped to admire the luxurious car before eventually driving off through a section of the parking lot, where several other vehicles, including the famous matatu Mood, had also been parked.
While sharing the video, Lenny did not directly confirm whether the Mercedes GLE belonged to him, but he appeared to leave a subtle hint as he spoke about God’s glory and the role of divine blessings in helping people achieve success in life.
“It’s always God’s glory,” he wrote.
The latest display of the Mercedes came only days after Lenny had similarly shared photos of himself sitting on the bonnet of the car, revealing that it carried a custom number plate bearing the name ‘Wanjiku’.
In the photos, Lenny showed off the exterior features of the Mercedes GLE, giving his followers a closer look at the sleek vehicle as he explained that they were headed to Nyahururu for a school tour.
The outing appeared to be another memorable moment for the driver, who has increasingly attracted attention because of his association with Mood and the growing public interest in his life away from the matatu.
At the time, Lenny also spoke about God’s plans for his life while sharing footage of himself driving the Mercedes around a section of a school field.
The vehicle attracted considerable attention from students who had gathered at the school, with many of them eagerly waiting and shouting and cheering as they called on Lenny to come out.
New matatu
The latest development comes only days after Lenny offered fans a closer look at another nganya linked to the growing 98 Sacco scene as it underwent extensive customisation ahead of its launch on Nairobi’s Rongai route.
Clad in a football jersey bearing his name, Lenny moved around the vehicle inspecting the striking modifications, including the calligraphic designs and white paint being applied to different sections of its body.
The matatu was also set to have popular city driver Gateru among the drivers behind its wheel, with Lenny later meeting him and other people affiliated with the nganya as they gathered around the vehicle.
The group exchanged warm greetings before proceeding to inspect Eccentric together, with more footage later shared by content creator Local Rapper offering a closer look at the work that had gone into transforming the matatu.
