Gachagua runs into Tawe Movement supporters in Texas

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua had a heartwarming reunion with the Tawe Movement supporters following a Sabbath church service at Metro Community SDA Church in Arlington, Texas.
Taking to his official X account on the night of Saturday, August 2, 2025, Gachagua, who is currently in the United States for diaspora engagements, expressed joy after unexpectedly meeting the team aligned with the Tawe Movement—a political slogan and civic movement known for its stand against corruption, impunity, and poor governance in Kenya that was started by Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya.
“I ran into my cousins from Tawe Movement after the Church in Arlington, Texas! Ukora, Wizi, Ufisadi Tawe!” Gachagua declared, reaffirming his support for the movement’s core values of integrity, transparency, and public accountability.

Gachagua attends SDA service
The reunion came shortly after Gachagua and his wife, Pastor Dorcas, attended a church service at Metro Community Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church in Arlington, Texas.
In a reflective message shared via his official X account on the night of Saturday, August 2, anchored on John 16:33—”In “this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world,“ Gachagua encouraged believers to find peace in their faith and remain steadfast in the face of life’s tribulations.
“John 16:33 I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. On this Sabbath, my spouse, @Pastor_Dorcas, and I attended church service at Metro Community SDA Church, Arlington, Texas, USA. We thank God for the gift of life and our great country, Kenya, to which we remain patriotic. God bless Kenya,” Gachagua stated.
First-ever SDA event
Gachagua, on Saturday, July 26, 2025, also joined members of the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) community for a worship and thanksgiving service held at Wheaton Regional Park in Maryland, United States.
The gathering marked the first-ever SDA event of its kind at the popular park, bringing together hundreds of congregants from the diaspora for a day of spiritual reflection, praise, and fellowship.
Taking to his official X account on the night of Saturday, July 26, Gachagua expressed his gratitude and joy at being part of the occasion.
“It was our greatest pleasure, with my spouse, @Pastor_Dorcas, to join the 1st Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) gathering at Wheaton Regional Park, Maryland, for worship and thanksgiving service,” Gachagua stated.
