Gachagua attends church service in Texas
Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua on Sunday, August 3, 2025, attended a church service in Dallas, Texas.
Gachagua, who has been on a two-month tour of the United States of America (USA), joined worshipers at the Trinity Anglican Cathedral church in Dallas City in the company of his spouse, pastor Dorcas Rigathi.
In a statement, Gachagua indicated that he prayed for Kenya to remain in the hands of God.
“At the Trinity Anglican Cathedral, Dallas City, Texas, in the company of my Spouse Pastor Dorcas, we joined the Christian faithful for a church service. The word of God remains true and a strong counsel to all believers. I pray for my country, Kenya, to remain in the hands of God and be blessed,” Gachagua stated.
Two-month US tour
Gachagua arrived in the USA on July 10, 2025, and is expected to stay in the country for at least two months as he engages Kenyans in the diaspora on the state of the nation back home.

The former Deputy President has been the subject of major discussions in the country, even in his absence, with a section of politicians stating that he is out soliciting campaign funds from the diaspora voters.
Kenyans have also been closely following his speeches in the US, where he continues to castigate the broad-based government for the ills bedeviling the nation.
Fallout with Ruto
Speaking during a public engagement with Kenyans in Dallas on Saturday, August 2, 2025, stated that his removal from office turned out to be a blessing both for him and the people of Kenya.
“Today, when I look back, I think my being removed from office was a blessing to me and the people of Kenya,” Gachagua said.

Gachagua, in addition, said he did not want to imagine being the deputy president and part of what was going on in the country because he would not have accepted it, and they would have disagreed since he would not have allowed it.
“I do not want to imagine that today I would be the deputy president and be part of what is going on because I would not accept, we would not have agreed to it, tungekosana kwa sababu singekubali,” he added.
