Western Corridors Traffic boss Joshua Nasimi also confirmed the incident advising motorists to take preauction around that place.

“It is so unfortunate that we have lost four people whose bodies have been burnt beyond recognition in this accident. Three others were rushed to Webuye hospital with serious injuries,” Nasimi said.

“Kaburengu is a hotspot area to all road users. People should take precautions while driving here. I urge drivers to avoid speeding up while driving on hotspots. They should obey traffic signs,” he added.

Residents are now calling on the government to add a new lane on the road since it has turned out to be a hotspot area.

They also urge the county government to install fire extinguishing machines in Webuye town.
