Nameless reveals role Bien played behind the scenes at his 25th anniversary concert

Musician David Mathenge, popularly known as Nameless, has revealed how fellow Kenyan singer Bien supported him behind the scenes as he prepared for his 25th anniversary concert.
In an Instagram post shared on Thursday, September 17, 2026, Nameless detailed how Bien stood by him during the planning and execution of the milestone concert.
Nameless said that even though Bien was unable to attend the Nameless@25 show as he was on tour in the United States, he remained a strong support system throughout the preparations.
Nameless revealed that at one point, Bien came home at a very late hour to check on him after noticing that he was highly stressed.
The two spoke for some time, with Nameless explaining his plans and the challenges he was facing as he prepared for the major show.

According to Nameless, Bien realised that much of his stress was linked to the Sunday show, which had also been part of his plans.
Bien advised Nameless to cancel Sunday show
Nameless said Bien advised him to cancel the Sunday show because the high level of stress and anxiety could jeopardise the main Nameless@25 concert.
He revealed that he was initially worried about the backlash that could come from cancelling the show.
“I was very worried about the backlash of cancelling the Sunday show,” Nameless said.
However, Nameless said it took him about 10 days to make up his mind before deciding to cancel the show.

Looking back, he said the decision turned out to be the best move, adding that there was surprisingly no backlash as many fans appeared to understand the decision.
Bien attended rehearsals
Bien’s support did not end with the late-night conversation.
Nameless revealed that Bien also attended his rehearsals to check on the progress and encourage the team as they prepared for the anniversary concert.
He expressed his appreciation for the support, noting that the encouragement from his fellow musicians went a long way during the demanding preparations.
“I really appreciate this kind of support from my brothers. They go a long way!” Nameless said.
