Former Kajiado County Woman Representative Janet Marania Teyiaa has died.

Teyiaa, who served in the 12th parliament on a Jubilee party ticket between 2017 and 2022, kicked off her political career after she was nominated to parliament in 2013 to represent people living with disabilities.

However, she shelved her ambitions during the 2022 general elections and supported the candidate that was backed by the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA). Leah Sopiato Sangaire.
