Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has joyfully announced the arrival of another newborn in his family.

Taking to his social media channels on Sunday, June 1, 2025, Khalwale shared the news of the birth of his granddaughter Naila Anota Khalwale, who was born two days earlier at Nairobi Hospital, expressing his gratitude and excitement.

The vocal senator further extended congratulations to his son, Tigana Khalwale, and daughter-in-law and also expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prof Wanjala and Dr Florence Murila of Nairobi Hospital for their exceptional care of his family over the years.

“At Nairobi Hospital. Visiting my lovely two-day-old Nailala Anota Khalwale,” he announced.

“The Khalwale family is celebrating the gracious grand arrival of my granddaughter, Nalia Anota Khalwale. Congratulations, my little boy @TKhalwale and our dear wife. My sincere and heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Wanjala and Dr. Florence Murila of Nairobi Hospital for the excellent care you have given my family over all these years. Thanks be to God.”

This announcement adds to the growing list of milestones in the Khalwale family. In 2022, Khalwale celebrated the birth of his granddaughter, Candice Shikanga Khalwale, whom he described as the reincarnation of his late wife, Adelaide.

“Blessings in abundance…the long wait for the reincarnation of my late wife, Adelaide Shikanga Khalwale, came to a happy end. God blessed my family with Candice Shikanga Khalwale,” he wrote.

Khalwale’s children

The 67-year-old has a large family, and every year since he shot into the political limelight, he has celebrated at least one of his offspring after the release of either KCPE or KCSE results.

In a bid to address growing concerns about the number of children sired by the bullfighter senator of Kakamega, Khalwale, on February 6, 2024, called a press conference and revealed the total number of children and wives in his homes.

During the presser, Khalwale disclosed that he had four wives and that his first wife, Adelaide Khalwale, had died five years ago, leaving him with three children.

Khalwale’s second wife, whom he identified as Josephine, equally had three children with the legislator, who said that one had completed university education while two others were continuing students.

He also noted that his third wife, Gloria Khalwale, had given birth to eight children

“These eight; some are at the university while others are at lower levels of education,” Khalwale said.

“They are all my copyright and have never had their paternity in doubt.

The fourth wife was identified as Diana Khalwale, who was the mother of three children, who the legislators said were all in lower levels of education.

Khalwale’s children added up to 17 in the February 2024 tally, and it remains out there if there are any new members of the family.
