Safaricom’s routine maintenance to affect key services

Telco company Safaricom has announced a system interruption for specific services scheduled from 10 pm to 5 am on Sunday, October 27, 2024.

In a statement shared via their official Facebook account, Safaricom indicated that the interruption which is part of system maintenance will affect eight services.

“Dear customers, we will carry out system maintenance and upgrades from 10 pm, 26 October to 5 am, 27 October 2024. During this period, you may experience an interruption in the following services,” the statement reads in parts.

Services that will be affected include; all top-up airtime services, okoa jahazi services, all bundle purchases via Airtime and M-Pesa, and all subscription services.

Other services that will be affected include postpaid payments, sambaza, bonga and SIM swaps.

All other services, however, will remain operational.

The telco company has apologised to customers for the inconvenience caused by the interruptions.

“We apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to enhance our services.”
