Tomorrow’s blackout to affect Nairobi, 2 other counties

Kenya Power has issued a notice informing Kenyans of a planned blackout scheduled to affect three counties on Saturday, May 25, 2024.

In a statement, the utility company cited network maintenance for the planned interruptions scheduled to start from 9 am.

“Good Evening. The listed areas will be affected by planned power interruptions tomorrow (25th May, 2024). The interruption is part of network maintenance,” the statement reads in parts.

Counties that will be affected include; Nairobi, West Pokot, and Nyeri.

In Nairobi, the planned blackout expected to start from 9 am to 5 pm will affect part of Westlands including ABC Place, Manyani East and West, Delloitte, Westend Tower, part of Waiyaki Way and adjacent customers.

The scheduled blackout in West Pokot will affect Kapenguria area and Kapenguria hospital including St Mary’s, Kapenguria Boys, Kapenguria Prisons, Aramaget and adjacent customers from 9 am to 5 pm.

Nyeri areas that will be affected by the scheduled blackout include; the whole of Karatina town including; Karatina Girls High School, Karatina Police Station, Nyagah Mechanical, Karatina Jua Kali Industry, Ragati Slaughter, Super Loaf, Mathira Dairy, Karatina University Town Campus, KIE, Saigon, Karatina, Railways Station, NHC Karatina and adjacent customers.

The mentioned areas will be affected from 9 am to 2 pm.
