Many students have been stranded at the Nanyuki bus station waiting to commute to various destinations as schools re-open today Thursday, August 18, 2022.
Although the bus fare has remained constant, the challenge is that the number of students travelling to school is high following the directive by the Ministry of Education that all schools should resume today.
The sheer number of students going back to school today has caused traffic snarl-ups as most public service vehicles rush to tap in on the back-to-school rush.
Parents are however optimistic that their children will finally get to school owing to the fact that the country is calm despite the current political situation.
