Police in Kaimosi in Emgwen Sub-county in Nandi county are looking for a 17-year-old suspect who allegedly killed his cousin in Kabaskei Village in Chepkumia location last evening after an argument overcharging of a mobile phone.

In a statement by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) the victim identified as Josphat Kibet,31, a resident of Kabaskei was shot with an arrow on the left side of his chest.

He was rushed to Kapsabet County Referral hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

“Preliminary investigations indicate that the two had argued over who would charge their phone first, before the young man reached for an arrow, stabbed the deceased on the left side of his chest before taking off,” says DCI. “

A manhunt for the suspect has since begun and the members of the public have been called upon by the authorities to assist in any information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
