Kiambu: Man shot dead by unknown assailants

Police in Limuru have launched a manhunt for suspects who fatally shot a man as he was driving to his residence in Thigio area, Limuru on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.

Fresha Wangui, the wife of the deceased told the police that on the said day, she heard gunshot sounds from outside her house.

Upon checking her husband’s vehicle, she was astonished to find him wounded and leaning on the driver’s seat with blood oozing from his nose.

Through the help of neighbours, she managed to rush her husband to a nearby health facility where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

After a superficial check on the deceased body, it was established that he had been shot on the shoulder and the bullet lodged into the body.

“The deceased’s wife reported that she had heard gunshots at the gate of her residence where she dashed out only to find her husband Daniel Kiura Njoroge inside his car leaning on the driver’s seat and blood coming from the nose. It was established that he had been shot on the shoulder and the bullet lodged inside the body,” a police report seen by K24 Digital reads in part.

The body was moved to the hospital’s morgue awaiting an autopsy.

Man dies under mysterious circumstances

Elsewhere, a cleaner at a bar in Umoja estate of Nairobi died after vomiting blood on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.

The deceased, Moses Sitienei, 30, had finished his cleaning duties and was resting at the pub when he started vomiting blood.

Moments after the bar owner had rushed to fetch a car to ferry him to the hospital, Sitienei had collapsed and died.

Police arrived at the scene and found the lifeless body with traces of blood and the floor.
