UDA presidential running mate Rigathi Gachagua was the first participant to give opening remarks during the deputy presidential debate.
Speaking during the debate which was held at the Catholic University auditorium on July 19, 2022, Gachagua used his opening remarks to tell viewers who he is.
He talked about how he is a family man brought up in Central Kenya and even mentioned that he doesn’t drink alcohol at all.
Lawyer pokes holes into Gachagua’s remarks
Flamboyant city lawyer Donald Kipkorir analysed Gachagua’s opening remarks at the deputy presidential debate and provided evidence of plagiarism.
“DO Rigathi Gachagua came prepared to “State Capture” the Debate using prepared notes .. State Capture & Corruption are Siamese Twins of using political subterfuge to gain advantage … The DO corruptly used plagiarism to pass cramming notes as his own!” Kipkorir tweeted accompanying his tweet with evidence to prove plagiarism.

In another tweet, the lawyer dismissed Gachagua’s claim that he doesn’t drink alcohol revealing that the world’s most brutal dictators were all teetotalers.
“Adolf Hitler didn’t drink. Idi Amin didn’t drink. Donald Trump didn’t drink. George Washington drank wine & champagne every day. Winston Churchill drank whisky daily. Angela Merkel, Emmanuel Macron, Xi Jinping et al drink. All Bloody & Buffoonery Dictators are Teetotalers,” Kipkorir tweeted.
