KeNHA announces traffic interruption along Nakuru – Eldoret Road

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has issued a notice on an upcoming traffic interruption along the Nakuru-Eldoret (A8) Road at Nabkoi Junction.

KeNHA said motorists can expect the disruption to occur from Tuesday, May 14 until Wednesday, May 15

In their statement, KeNHA expressed regret over the inconvenience caused by the interruption, which is necessary to facilitate emergency restoration works at the specified section of the road.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution and refrain from overlapping to prevent traffic congestion.

To assist drivers during this period, a diversion has been put in place, along with clear signage to guide traffic flow.

Additionally, KeNHA said traffic police officers, along with traffic marshals, will be stationed at the site to provide further directions and ensure the safety of all road users.

“The Kenya National Highways Authority regrets to inform the public that there will be traffic interruption at Nabkoi Junction along the Nakuru – Eldoret (A8) Road. This disruption will be from Tuesday, 14th to Wednesday, 15th May 2024. This is to allow for emergency restoration works at the said section of the Road. Motorists are advised to refrain from overlapping to avoid traffic snarl-ups. A diversion has been provided and signage installed to guide traffic. Additionally, traffic police assisted by traffic marshals are on-site for further directions,” KeNHA announced.

The highway authority said it’s committed to ensuring seamless connectivity along the nation’s highways.

The authority reiterated that the safety of the public remains their top priority.

“The Authority remains committed to ensuring seamless connectivity to facilitate the safe passage of goods and services for economic prosperity. Your safety remains our utmost priority.”
