The Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission (EACC) has cautioned members of the public against engaging unauthorised persons when seeking clearance certificates from the agency.

In a notice to members of the public, EACC said it had received reports of fraudsters purporting to issue ‘Integrity Clearance Certificates’ at a fee.

EACC affirmed that the commission does not charge any fee for processing Self-declaration Forms better known as EACC Clearance Certificates.

“EACC has learnt of fraudsters issuing fake integrity clearance certificates to unsuspecting members of the public at a fee. It is hereby clarified that EACC does not charge any fees for processing Self-declaration Forms (EACC Clearance).”

Report fraudsters to EACC

Members of the public have been urged to volunteer information that may lead to the arrest of the criminals.

“Any person with relevant information is called upon to promptly share the same with the Commission for further action. This also applies to cases of fraudsters impersonating EACC Investigators & extorting money from the public,” EACC added.

“Report all suspected cases of fraud or impersonation to EACC through Hotline No. 0727 285663 or [email protected] or the anonymous reporting system at http://eacc.go.ke. One may also visit the EACC Hqs at Integrity Centre, any regional office or Huduma Service Desk.”
