List of areas to experience blackout on Friday

Kenya Power has announced scheduled blackouts affecting four counties on Friday, May 31, 2024.

In a statement, Kenya Power attributed the blackout to scheduled maintenance of power lines.

“Please be advised, the following areas will be off on scheduled maintenance tomorrow (31.05.2024),” Kenya Power stated.

The counties that will be affected include Makueni, Nyeri, Mombasa and West Pokot.

The outage will run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in all the affected areas.

Blackouts per county

In Makueni, the areas that will be affected include part of Sultan Town, Sultan Police, Holy Ghost Schools, Kalimbini, Ngokomi, Kwothithu, Kiongwani, Kima, Kiu, Salama, Kautandini, Malili, Enzai, Nunguni, Kilungu, Kavatanzou, Mitini, Kyambeke and adjacent customers.

In Nyeri, the outage will affect Chorong’i C/Fact, Kiamwathi Market, Miberethini, Giakanja Market and Schools, Giakanja C/Fact, Karicheni, Red Court and adjacent customers.

In Mombasa, the outage will affect Shimo Latewa High School, Mama Ngina Girls, Flamingo Hotel, Serena Residences, Mtwapa Town, Mtoondoni, Mtepeteni and adjacent customers.

Areas in West Pokot that will be affected include Siyoi, Kaibos, Paraiywa, Kabichbich, Kipat, Kapsait, Kaptabuk, Kokwoplekwa, Kapsangar and adjacent customers.
