Kenyan internationals Job Ochieng and defender Collins Sichenje are among the Kenyan players angling for crucial league encounters with their respective teams in the European leagues this Saturday, February 21, 2026.

Straight from agreeing to a new contract with the Real Sociedad B team, Ochieng, who has been gradually integrated into the La Liga club’s senior team, has made the cut in the team’s matchday squad for the home clash against Real Oviedo.

The encounter in Anoeta will see the Kenyan rack up more appearances for the mid-table La Liga side. The Kenyan has been named in the squad for clashes against Real Madrid in the past and made his debut in the Spanish top league a couple of weeks ago in a 2-1 win over Elche.

Meanwhile, Collins Sichenje will be eyeing to get his EFL championship bow up and running as Charlton Athletics travel to St Marys’ stadium to face Southampton,

The former Serbia-based defender has made three straight appearances from the bench, with his latest coming in Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in a defeat to Portsmouth.

Sichenje joined Addicks from Vojvodina FK in January and has been the subject of praise from coach Neil Jones after landing at the London club for a new stint in one of the top second-tier European leagues.

The clash will kick off at 6:00 pm.

Meanwhile, in another championship tie, Thomas Silko Otieno of Leicester City will be out to continue his appearances for the Foxes, who face Stoke City in a 4:00 pm kickoff away to the Potters.

Just like Ochieng, Otieno has been included in the squad by Leicester’s new coach, Gary Rowett.

Olunga to face ex-team

Stars talisman Michael Olunga will also be in action this Saturday as the Qatari-based poacher is set for an emotional return to his former employers in Qatar as Al Arabi travels to face Al Duhail on Saturday, February 21, 2026.

The Kenyan departed the club on Friday, July 5, 2025, for record champions and crosstown rival and record champions Al Arabi in a transfer that ended his four-and-a-half-year spell with the former.

Olunga and his teammates will be out to continue their league ascent as fifth-placed Cosmin Contra’s team faces their crosstown rivals in the 9:30 pm Kenyan time kick-off.
