The FKF Premier League has, for another season, lived up to its reputation for high managerial turnover as far as coaches are concerned.

With the start of the second half of the campaign, eight tacticians have been shown the door due to poor results in a sack race that has also seen two resign from their positions to take up new roles within the division.

Kenya Police FC’s title-winning coach Etienne Ndayiragije was the first casualty of the managerial changes, with the Rwandan trainer opting to leave his role with the reigning champions by mutual agreement.

In a statement in October 2025, the club announced it had reached an agreement to part ways with the coach. “Kenya Police FC wishes to announce to the general public that, effective 29th October 2025, it has mutually parted ways with the Head Coach, Mr. Etienne Ndayiragije,” part of the club’s statement read.

A month later, former SC Villa coach Dusan Stojanovic succeeded Ndayiragije at the Police Sacco outfit following his appointment as the new head coach in November 2025.

The Serbian, however, lasted only two months at the club before his dismissal in mid-January.

Nicholas Muyoti later joined the list of FKF PL coaches on the move as he left his role at Nairobi United to return to Kenya Police FC early this year.

Ken Odhiambo and Mohammed Borji, both formerly of Bandari FC, are also casualties of the managerial axe at the coastal club.

Odhiambo was in charge of the club at the start of the season but was forced to leave after a series of dismal results.

His successor, Borji, met a similar fate to Stojanovic, with his short-lived tenure in Mombasa lasting barely two months.

The sacking chronicles for the season have also not spared Michael Nam and Dunstan Nyaudo, who faced the axe at APS Bomet and Ulinzi Stars, respectively.

Tusker FC coach Charles Okere has been the latest to face the sack after a string of inconsistent results at the Ruaraka-based club. His ouster came after Sofapaka also relieved veteran coach Ezekiel Akwana of his duties.

Resigned

Meanwhile, Sammy Omollo Pamzo, who left his role at Posta Rangers for league newbies APS Bomet, is among the trainers to have resigned from their positions. The former Shabana coach was joined by Muyoti, who also left his role at Nairobi United to return to Police FC early this year.
