The FA Cup semi-final draw is scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 5, 2026, shortly after the final quarter-final match pitting West Ham United against Leeds United.

The two Premier League rivals will clash this Sunday at 6:45 PM to determine the final team of the four advancing from the quarter-finals to book their slots at Wembley.

Semifinal venue and format

Wembley Stadium now hosts the competition, where single-leg knockout matches take place at the neutral venue.

If a semifinal match remains level after the standard 90 minutes of regulation time, the tie will proceed to extra time. If the stalemate continues, a penalty shootout will determine the winner.

Qualified Teams

On Saturday, April 4, 2026, Chelsea, the reigning world champions, joined Manchester City as one of the teams to advance to the last four of football’s oldest cup competition after thrashing Port Vale in a seven-goal rout.

Chelsea

Tosin Adarabioyo, João Pedro, Alejandro Garnacho, and Cole Palmer were among the scorers who inspired Liam Rosenior’s team to return to winning ways after a spell of defeats both in Europe and at home.

Chelsea had previously advanced to the last eight after battling through extra time to defeat Championship side Wrexham AFC on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

Southampton

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal provided the shock of the round after crashing out of the FA Cup quarter-finals at Southampton. The Saints produced some cup magic to beat the Premier League leaders 2–1 on Saturday, April 4, 2026.

In their first game since losing the Carabao Cup final, Arsenal put in another tame performance as the Saints sensed and took their opportunity with goals from Ross Stewart and substitute Shea Charles.

Manchester City

City secured their progression after a dominant 4–0 victory over Liverpool. Pep Guardiola’s side eliminated Newcastle in the fifth round as Liverpool thrashed Wolves 3-1 to advance to the quarters.

Draw Details

The semi-final draw will be conducted roughly 15 minutes after the conclusion of the West Ham vs. Leeds game.

The semi-final matches themselves are scheduled for the weekend of April 25 and 26, 2026, at Wembley Stadium.

The competition’s ultimate winner will be known on May 16, 2026, when the final clash takes centre stage.
