Comedian and media personality Bush Sande, widely known as Dr Ofweneke, has opened up about his current marriage, revealing why he believes it is working well for him this time.
Speaking in a conversation with gospel musician Daddy Owen on the Lesson at 30 podcast, Ofweneke said he is enjoying his marriage and that he is praying for it to work.
The media personality also reflected on how his approach to relationships has changed over time.
“I just got back to it the third time, and my prayer is this one will work,” Ofweneke said.
“It is beautiful; I am enjoying.”

Reasons for marrying Diana
He explained that his decision to marry digital content creator Diana Ingosi was influenced by lessons he draws from the biblical story of Abraham sending a servant to find a wife for Isaac, noting that he chose a partner who shares similar cultural and spiritual values.
“This time I decided, the instruction that Abraham gave one of the servants as he was going to look for Isaac’s wife, he said, ‘look for one within our tribe.’And this time I decided wacha niichukulie nyumbani,” he explained.
Ofweneke added that one of the key reasons his marriage is thriving is shared cultural understanding, which he says reduces the need for constant explanations and adjustments.
“I can say this: one, because of culture, I do not have to explain too much, she is already within it so there is no need of breaking down,” Ofweneke stated.

He further revealed that his wife’s strong faith played a major role in his decision, noting that she is deeply rooted in Christianity.
“Two, I found a woman who, I think, when I was getting into her heart, I found there is a roommate who is God. I found a woman who is more in love with God than she is with me, of which, for me, that one I was okay with,” he added.
The comedian also pointed to the presence of a strong family structure, saying her close-knit family background and guidance from a father figure in her brother give her a solid understanding of marriage systems and hierarchy.
“Number three, there is a present father figure in her big brother, so she understands systems of hierarchy when it comes to marriage; for me, that is what I really needed, and now I want someone who can stand with me in my vision,” Ofweneke said.
