Manchester United’s completed summer transfer business

Manchester United have continued reshaping their squad during the 2026 summer transfer window, with the club confirming all arrivals and departures as deals are finalised.

Brazil midfielder Andrey Santos became the first player signed since Michael Carrick was appointed head coach, completing a permanent move from Chelsea. He was followed by experienced goalkeeper Karl Darlow, who joined as a free agent after leaving Leeds United, while Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans also arrived on a permanent transfer from Aston Villa.

The Red Devils also strengthened their attacking options by signing promising winger Tynan Thompson from Tottenham Hotspur.

Confirmed arrivals

United have completed the Ksh7 billion (£48 m) signing of Brazil international Andrey Santos from Chelsea as well as Aston Villa’s Youri Tielemans as they try to revamp their midfield.

Santos made his unofficial debut for the club during the pre-season meeting with Wrexham on Saturday, July 18, 2026, in Finland, offering supporters an early glimpse of what he could bring ahead of the new campaign.

The Brazilian started the match in Helsinki wearing the No. 17 shirt. Although still settling into his new surroundings, the 22-year-old produced several promising moments that highlighted both his defensive awareness and composure in possession.
