Person of interest linked to robbery incident at Kenol arrested
Police officers in Murang’a South Sub-County have arrested a person of interest linked to a robbery incident reported in the Kenol Market area.
The National Police Service (NPS), in a statement issued via social media on Sunday, December 7, 2025, said the incident saw a resident attacked and robbed of his mobile phone and cash by a group of three armed men.

According to the police, the said person of interest was traced to the Gitura area in Kimorori Location following public cooperation.
“Police officers in Murang’a South Sub-County have arrested a key suspect linked to a robbery incident reported in the Kenol Market area, where a resident was attacked and robbed of his mobile phone and cash by a group of three armed men,” NPS stated.
“Following public cooperation and prompt police action, one suspect was traced to the Gitura area in Kimorori Location. Officers conducted a search and recovered multiple mobile phones and accessories believed to have been stolen.”
The middle-aged man is currently being detained at Kenol Police Station for processing, as investigations continue to pursue the remaining accomplices.
