Nairobi Water explains how Nairobians can check their water supply schedule

The Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company (NCWSC) has encouraged residents to familiarise themselves with their water supply schedules to help them plan ahead and manage their daily household needs more effectively.
In a public notice issued on Thursday, July 23, 2026, the utility company said knowing your designated water supply day enables households and businesses to prepare in advance by storing enough water for essential activities such as cooking, cleaning, bathing and drinking.
“Knowing your water supply day helps you plan ahead, store water responsibly and manage your household needs,” Nairobi Water stated.
How to check supply schedule
The company has directed customers to check the equitable water distribution programme available on its website, where residents can find the water supply schedule for their respective areas. The schedule indicates the days different estates are expected to receive water, allowing consumers to make informed decisions about their water usage.
Nairobi Water noted that residents can access the supply timetable by visiting the company’s published water distribution schedule and identifying their estate or neighbourhood to determine the expected day of supply.

The utility company also urged customers to report any supply disruptions if their area does not receive water on the scheduled day. Residents experiencing such interruptions can contact Nairobi Water’s toll-free customer care line on 0800 724 366 to report the issue and seek assistance.
“If your area does not receive water as scheduled, report a supply failure by calling our toll-free customer care line: 0800 724 366,” the utility company directed.
Why checking supply schedule matters
By knowing when water is expected, residents can avoid being caught off guard when taps run dry. Families can fill storage tanks, jerry cans or other clean containers before the scheduled supply ends, reducing the inconvenience of unexpected shortages.
The schedule is also beneficial for businesses that rely heavily on water, including restaurants, salons, car washes and laundries. Planning around supply days can help minimise disruptions to operations and reduce the need to purchase expensive water from vendors.
