Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, Geoffrey Mosiria, has celebrated his impact after rescuing several Kenyans who were on the verge of despair.

Through his intervention, these Kenyans were able to pick up the pieces and rise above the challenges to regain control of their lives in a powerful story of restoration.

In a statement on social media on Friday, February 13, 2026, Mosiria reflected on the suffering that people go through, admitting that many carry the load silently.

WATU WANAPITIA MACHUNGU KWELI. MANY SUFFER SILENTLY!!” Mosiria remarked.

He shared the experience of Martha Njoki, whom he rescued from the streets and took to a rehabilitation centre, helping her rebuild her life and make something meaningful out of it.

Inspiring stories of restoration

Mosiria also celebrated the journey of Alex, a young man who was sinking into depression before Mosiria stepped in and helped him rise again.

“When I look at Martha Njoki, once a street family member who has now healed and rebuilt her life, and Alex, a young man who was slowly losing himself to depression but found hope again, I’m reminded of one powerful truth: no one is beyond restoration.

He appealed to people to create a difference in their community by identifying at least one person struggling with mental health, substance abuse, or silent pain and intervening.

“Tonight, before you sleep, think about that one person you see on the streets or in your neighbourhood struggling with mental health, substance abuse, or silent pain, with no one to hold their hand or guide them to help,” Mosiria added.

Mosiria’s call to action

Leaning on his experience through which lives that were on the verge of despair were restored, Mosiria urged his followers to reach out to those struggling with no one to support them, adding that their intervention could be the difference.

You could be the reason they live again. You could be the one who gives them a second chance, restores their dignity, and reminds them they still matter,” he added.

The head of customer service at Nairobi county has been a blessing to many lives in the city, where he has intervened in needy cases, and helped those struggling with unemployment, mental health, homelessness and other situations bounce back.
