Mosiria comes through for woman whose kid died in school

Geoffrey Mosiria has revealed a disturbing incident involving a woman who lost her child while at school.

In a video shared on his Facebook account on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, Mosiria expressed deep concern about the mother’s suffering without justice.

“This story is truly heartbreaking. Today, this woman came running to me in tears. She narrated how she has been crying out for justice after losing her 8-year-old son under mysterious circumstances in August 2024 while he was at school,” he said.

“She explained that the school had organized a cross-country walk, and she had clearly instructed the principal that her son should not participate. Despite her instructions, the child was allegedly allowed to take part,” Mosiria said.

The tragedy unfolded when the mother received a call informing her that her son had collapsed and died after participating in the cross-country event.

To date, she says she has never been given clear or satisfactory information about what exactly happened or how her son lost his life.

Since then, the grieving mother has moved from office to office seeking answers and justice.

“No parent should have to go through such pain, and accountability must always prevail,” Mosiria added.

Mosiria calls school principal

After listening to her, Mosiria immediately called the school principal, who reportedly denied having knowledge of the incident.

He assured the mother that he would personally follow up, pushing to ensure justice is served and that she can finally find peace.

The case also raises wider questions about school safety, child supervision during school events, and the importance of strictly following parental instructions.

Education experts note that such tragedies highlight the need for clear accountability and proper safety measures in schools.

Mosiria’s intervention underscores the role of community leaders in protecting citizens’ rights and ensuring justice for families affected by institutional negligence.

He has reassured the public that this case will not be ignored and urged parents to remain vigilant about their children’s safety during school activities.

This story stands as a powerful reminder of the importance of justice for children, parental rights in schools, and child protection in Kenya.
