Kenya Power lists areas to experience power outage on Sunday, July 26

Kenya Power has announced planned electricity interruptions in parts of Nyeri and Tharaka Nithi counties on Sunday, July 26, 2026, to facilitate maintenance of its power distribution network.
In a public notice on Saturday, July 25, 2026, the utility company said the scheduled outages will affect customers in selected areas within the Mt. Kenya region between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.
According to Kenya Power, the planned interruptions are necessary to allow maintenance works aimed at improving the reliability and stability of electricity supply.
“Good afternoon. The listed areas will be under planned power maintenance tomorrow (26TH July, 2026). We regret any inconvenience that may be caused during the operations,” Kenya Power said in the notice.
Nyeri County
In Nyeri County, customers around Nyeri Golf Club and Outspan Hospital will be without electricity from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The outage will affect Nyeri Golf Club, Regional Commissioner’s Offices, White Rhino, St. Cuthbert’s PCEA Church, Stima House, KCB Bank, Yaya Pizzeria, Nyeri Law Courts, Advocate Plaza, Living Faith Ministries, Pembe Tatu, Kuni Ville, Outspan Hotel, Outspan Hospital, Outspan Plaza, Mt. Kenya Hospital, Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), PGH Nyeri, Kangemi Estate, and adjacent customers.
Residents and businesses in the affected areas are advised to plan and make the necessary arrangements during the maintenance period.

Kenya Hosp, KMTC, PGH Nyeri, Kangemi Est & adjacent customers,” Kenya Power stated.
Tharaka Nithi County
In Tharaka Nithi County, the interruption will affect Chuka Town and surrounding areas between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.
Areas scheduled to experience the outage include Captain Plaza, Magunas and Khetias supermarkets, Nthiga Plaza, Ushirika Plaza, KCB Bank, Daima Plaza, PCEA Chuka, Transnational Sacco Plaza, and nearby customers.
