In a public notice issued on Thursday, July 2, 2026, Kenya Power said the planned outage forms part of routine maintenance aimed at improving the reliability and stability of electricity supply across its distribution network.

“Good Evening. The listed areas will be under planned power maintenance tomorrow (3RD July 2026). The interruption is part of network maintenance. We regret any inconvenience that may occur during the operations,” the company stated.

The interruption falls under Kenya Power’s North Rift Region maintenance programme.

KPLC also reminded customers that they can access the complete maintenance schedule through its official platforms, where updated notices are published regularly.

Additionally, the utility encouraged customers seeking more information or assistance to use Nuru, its digital customer service chatbot, for real-time support and service updates.
