Dem Wa Facebook shares story of pregnant disabled woman who was assaulted

Content creator Dem Wa Facebook has left fans, and Kenyans, stunned.
This comes after she described an emotional, unbelievable, and deeply disturbing incident involving a disabled woman.
Through a lengthy post on her Facebook account on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, Dem Wa Facebook said that some stories are too heavy to carry alone, and Purity’s is one of them.
“Purity was born with a disability. She cannot talk and uses a wheelchair. Two years ago, while her mother stepped out to do manual work to provide for Purity and her six other children, someone broke into their home and took advantage of her,” she stated.
“Purity could not cry out for help or explain what had happened, and she was left to carry a pain she never chose. That violation resulted in a pregnancy. Today, Purity is a mother to a beautiful baby girl.”
The content creator highlighted the immense burden this has placed on Purity’s mother.
Already struggling to survive, she is now responsible for raising seven children, caring for a daughter with special needs, and looking after her granddaughter.
Dem Wa Facebook calls for Kenyans’ help
She earns a living through irregular manual jobs as a mama fua, but basic necessities, especially adult diapers and daily care for Purity, have become an overwhelming challenge.
“This family is not sharing their story for sympathy, but in hope. If you can give anything, no matter how small, your support can help make life a little more comfortable and dignified for Purity and her child. If you cannot donate, please share this story. Sometimes compassion, when turned into action, can change everything,” Dem Wa Facebook urged.

Purity’s story serves as a heartbreaking reminder of the challenges that many families face quietly.
This article highlights both the emotional toll on Purity and the inspiring resilience of her mother, who continues to strive for her family’s well-being despite overwhelming hardships.
The post has since sparked outrage and empathy across social media, with many Kenyans pledging support and calling for more awareness around the vulnerabilities faced by persons with disabilities.
