TikToker Anne Kawira has called on Kenyans to turn up in large numbers for the highly anticipated fundraiser aimed at supporting the viral ‘Kwa Mbae’ boy and his family.

In a video shared on her page on Sunday April 26, 2026, Kawira revealed that preparations were already complete, expressing optimism that the initiative would bring meaningful change to the young boy’s life.

She noted that she had spent time with the boy’s father, assuring supporters that he was in good spirits ahead of the big day.

“Hello guys, so today is the awaited event where we are fundraising for Kwa Mbae. We are with him here,” she said.

Kawira further disclosed that they had spent the night at a hotel that had offered them accommodation free of charge as part of its support for the cause. She described the gesture as a sign that many people and institutions were already rallying behind the initiative.

She urged Kenyans to come out in large numbers and support the family, emphasising that every contribution would go a long way in transforming their lives.

“And we also slept in a presidential hotel that offered us everything for free as a way of supporting the initiative. I am with Kwa Mbae’s father and he feels well. So guys, come out in huge numbers for this family as everything is set so we can change their lives,” Kawira said.

In the same video, the boy’s father also spoke emotionally, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support they had received so far.

He said he was encouraged by the compassion shown by members of the public, noting that many had stepped forward to stand with his family during a difficult time.

“I feel good and I have noted that people have not forsaken me and that people are actually very compassionate,” he said.

He added that the support had reassured him that they had not been abandoned, and appealed to well-wishers to attend the fundraiser regardless of the amount they were able to contribute.

“They have come all the way to support this boy of mine and they are merciful enough to support the fundraiser. So whichever amount anyone has, let them come with it and we will receive it with open arms,” he added.

The fundraiser, which has attracted widespread attention online, is expected to bring together content creators and members of the public, all aiming to uplift the young boy whose viral moment captured the hearts of many.
