Tata Essy shows off natural beauty as she steps out without Akorino turban in Mombasa

Kikuyu gospel singer Essy wa Willy, popularly known as Tata Essy, has shown her fans how beautiful she looks without her Akorino turban as she enjoyed swimming in the Indian Ocean during a Mombasa getaway.
In a video shared on TikTok on Sunday, May 10, 2026, the singer is seen walking in the blue waters and washing her hair in the ocean happily. She walked from one section of the clear waters to another, where a yellow boat was waiting and lying in the water, collecting sand and washing her hands with it.
Essy was dressed in a blue mini dress, and she looked relaxed and happy.
Happiest moments
While sharing the video, Essy shared that she had never been as happy in her life as she was at that moment while bathing in the ocean.
She also expressed amazement at discovering that some parts of the Indian Ocean have strikingly clear blue waters, and she vowed to continue vacationing to relax and fully enjoy herself.
“I have never been this happy. I did not know that Mombasa is actually hiding such crystal-clear waters at the centre of the ocean,” Tata wrote.

She also revealed that the feeling of being in Mombasa was extremely calming and further declared that it was the best experience she has had lately.
“The best feeling ever,” Tata added.
Did Essy recover her hacked account?
Previously, K24 Digital reported that the gospel singer confirmed the recovery of her hacked Facebook account, which she had lost following the announcement of her bid to run the Mwiki Ward MCA seat.
Taking to her Facebook on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, Essy expressed gratitude to an unnamed individual who helped her regain access to the account, noting that the person preferred to remain anonymous despite playing a key role in the recovery process.
“Thank you to this anonymous person who has worked behind the scenes to recover my account. And since they don’t want to be tagged, let me just say may they be blessed,” she wrote.

The hacking incident had earlier been brought to public attention by Facebook influencer Cukura Ya Nairobi on April 24, 2026, in a post that quickly went viral due to its humorous tone.
Cukura claimed that Essy’s account had been taken over and joked about its supposed movement across continents.
“Breaking news: imagine Essy’s page has been hacked and right now I am hearing it is in China and is almost reaching the USA. Pole sana,” she added.
