Stephen Kasolo recalls being the cleanest pupil in class during his primary school days

Kamba gospel singer Stephen Kasolo has taken a nostalgic trip down memory lane, recalling how he was once recognised as the cleanest pupil during his primary school days.
In a reflective post shared on Facebook on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, Kasolo opened up about his childhood while studying at Nzukini Primary School, revealing that his love for cleanliness often earned him recognition from teachers.
According to the singer, he was so keen on maintaining personal hygiene and neatness that he would regularly receive awards for being the cleanest pupil in class. At the time, he was in Class Six at the school.
“When I was in school, I loved cleanliness so much that I used to receive awards for being the cleanest pupil. Here I was in Class Six at Nzukini Primary School,” Kasolo wrote.
Kasolo accompanied the message with an old photograph taken during those school years, showing him standing beside a car that belonged to one of his teachers.
The gospel musician explained that the vehicle belonged to his science teacher, whom he identified as Miss Munyasya. He recalled that the teacher would occasionally offer him a ride home after school.
“This car belonged to my science teacher, Miss Munyasya,” he wrote.

In the post, Kasolo shared that Miss Munyasya would drop him at his home in the Matinga area using the car, something that left a lasting impression on him as a young boy.
“She used to pick me up with this car and drop me at home in Matinga,” he added.
Looking back at the moment, the singer admitted that at the time he never imagined that he would one day own a car of his own.
Kasolo described the moment as a reminder of how far life has taken him since those humble beginnings in primary school.
“At that time, I never knew that one day I would have my own car,” Kasolo wrote.
The musician expressed gratitude for the journey he has experienced, saying the memories continue to remind him of the importance of staying thankful for every stage of life.
The throwback photo also features members of his family, including his uncle Masila Mutua and the late Mr Mutuvi Ivuli.
“In this photo, I am with my uncle Masila Mutua and the late Mr Mutuvi Ivuli. A person should always remain grateful,” Kasolo added.
