Shiquo Wa Hiistyles shares personal experience on how marriage changes lifestyle habits

Popular city businesswoman Shiquo Wa Hiistyles has opened up on her views about marriage, sharing her personal experience and offering advice to people who are eager to get married.
In a TikTok post on Sunday, May 24, 2026, Shiquo said many people often go into marriage with unrealistic expectations, especially about lifestyle habits and daily routines shared between couples.
She explained that married life is not always as romantic as many imagine, noting that over time, couples tend to adjust to different sleeping patterns and personal space in ways that may surprise those who are not yet married.
“Maturing in marriage is understanding that not all couples actually cuddle when they sleep. You give each other a kiss, then turn in opposite directions,” she wrote.
Shiquo further shared that in many cases, couples may share a brief moment of affection before sleeping but often end up settling into their own comfort routines during the night.
The businesswoman emphasised that marriage requires maturity and understanding, adding that partners must learn to adapt to each other’s habits and personalities beyond the early stages of excitement.
“One partner may end up watching reels until around 2 a.m., while the other falls asleep immediately after turning over,” she added.
Did Shiquo find her late mum’s grave?
In a separate report, the businesswoman opened up about an emotional and ongoing struggle to locate her mother’s final resting place, revealing that she has been searching for the grave for several years without success.
She explained that despite frequent visits to the burial grounds, including what she described as her sixth or seventh attempt, she has still not been able to locate the grave.
“We have been here at this cemetery searching for my mother’s grave, and this is not the first time. It is like the sixth or seventh time, because we always pass by this cemetery, but today we came inside to look properly,” she said.

During her latest visit, she and her companions walked through the cemetery once again in search of the site, but were unsuccessful.
“She was buried here in 2011, but we have not been able to find the grave,” she added.
Shiquo expressed emotional reflection during the visit, noting the difficulty of repeatedly returning without finding closure. She described the experience as deeply personal, highlighting the emotional weight attached to not being able to identify her mother’s resting place after so many years.
While at the cemetery, she also reflected on broader life themes, observing the contrast between the living world and those laid to rest. She noted that those buried there are free from life’s struggles, including illness, financial pressure, and daily stress, while the living continue to face ongoing challenges.
“When I was here, I reflected on life and how those who are buried here are at peace. They do not know anything about the cost of living, fuel prices, sickness, or stress,” she said.
