Remcy Don calls on fans to help Mbavu Destroyer buy a car despite Vurugu setback

Content creator Remcy Don has called on fans of amateur boxer Mbavu Destroyer to rally together and contribute towards buying the fighter a car following his controversial loss to Majembe in the highly anticipated Vurugu Fight Night.

In a TikTok video shared on Sunday, April 5, 2026, Remcy, who went viral after claiming to be Jason Derulo’s lookalike, expressed disbelief over the circumstances of Mbavu Destroyer’s defeat.

He highlighted what he described as a questionable blow that led to the fight being called in Majembe’s favour.

He described the loss as unfair and suggested that the result did not reflect the skill and effort Mbavu had put into the bout.

“And by the way, it’s not possible. That fight, I feel, was not fair at all, because I fail to understand why Majembe hit Mbavu in the private parts and still had his win confirmed. Majembe should have been disqualified,” he said.

Remcy Don outlined a fan-driven initiative, dubbed Operation Mbavu Get a Car, urging supporters to collectively donate funds to help Mbavu Destroyer acquire a vehicle comparable to, or even better than, the one awarded to Majembe, who won a new Toyota Noah worth approximately Ksh4 million.

He also encouraged fans to aim higher, hinting at the possibility of surprising the young boxer with a luxury SUV, such as a G-Wagon.

“Now, what I can ask all Mbavu Destroyer fans is this: we have a challenge. Let’s donate money until Mbavu is able to buy a car similar to the one Majembe won after the fight, or even a better car. Operation Mbavu Get a Car,” he said.

He emphasised that Mbavu has a large fan base and that his supporters could easily mobilise resources to show solidarity after what many perceived as an unjust outcome.

Remcy described the plan as a way to lift the fighter’s spirits and reward him for his dedication, despite the controversial finish.

“The car Majembe won is a Toyota Noah, a new model worth about Ksh 4 million, which is not too much for his fans to raise. So let’s start tomorrow, and we could even buy him a G-Wagon. Mbavu has many fans, and I know all of them understand that his loss was unfair. Let’s surprise him,” Remcy said.

The Vurugu Fight Night, held at the Kasarani Indoor Arena in Nairobi, ended with Majembe emerging victorious after Mbavu Destroyer was unable to continue following a fourth-round stoppage.

The bout, which had been scheduled for ten rounds, was ultimately decided by judges after four rounds, cementing Majembe’s dominance on the night.
