Prophets of doom: Esther Musila throws shade at her critics

Social media personality and wife to gospel singer Peter Omwaka, widely known as Guardian Angel, Esther Musila has taken to social media to respond to her critics boldly and unapologetically.

Taking to her official Instagram account on Tuesday, January 6, 2025, Musila shared a video with the song of her husband featuring Rose Muhando, dubbed Kimya, playing in the background, accompanied by a caption addressing her online critics.

In her caption, she said that her only resolution was to live so boldly that her haters would have to cover their ears.

“My only resolution is to live so loudly that the “Prophets of Doom” have to cover their ears,” she wrote.

Musila’s post appears to signal her commitment to focusing on her personal growth and career, undeterred by negativity.

Message to haters

This is not the first time she addressed her critics. On September 14, 2025, Musila clapped back at a critic who negatively commented on her post on Instagram, where she was celebrating her husband, noting his modest breakfast habits.

“My husband is low-maintenance on breakfast…,” she shared, a nod to their uncomplicated lifestyle.

This post, however, drew a dismissive and sarcastic comment from a critic who sarcastically suggested that Guardian Angel ought to be her son.

“Your son, to hell,” Jeniffer Katiku wrote.

Musila’s reply was direct and uncompromising.

“@jenifferkatiku Womân, HEAL from your misery! I didn’t CUT you. So go on living in the hell you’re in!” she responded, underscoring her refusal to be deterred by negativity.

Thick skin

Throughout her public life, Musila has become accustomed to online harassment, particularly regarding her relationship with Guardian Angel, who is younger than her.

Guardian and Esther’s love

The two lovebirds, known for their strong bond despite public criticism over their age difference, continue to inspire many with their unapologetic affection and support for each other.

They first met in 2020 and courted for about two years before tying the knot on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, in a private white wedding attended by close friends and family when he turned 33 years old.
