Content creator Priscilla Wa Imani has spoken after travelling to Nakuru to support a local restaurant that recently went viral following an emotional online appeal by its owner, Harriet Akinyi.

Speaking after returning to Ruiru on Friday, January 23, 2026, Priscilla expressed deep appreciation to everyone who turned up to support the struggling entrepreneur, noting that the show of unity stood out as a powerful demonstration of community solidarity.

“Hi guys, I am now back in Ruiru, and I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who was able to turn up yesterday when we went to support Akinyi at her restaurant in Nakuru,” she said.

She acknowledged that investors and business people from Nakuru came out in large numbers, creating a rare moment where online sympathy translated into real-world action.

“I sincerely thank all the investors from Nakuru who showed up in large numbers to support her,” she said.

The influencer further highlighted the role played by several prominent business figures who joined the initiative.

She explained that the list of those who offered support was extensive and included well-known entrepreneurs such as Wamorgan and Damaris Muriithi, among many others.

According to Priscilla, their presence sent a strong message of encouragement to small business owners navigating difficult economic times.

“I also want to thank the business people who came through to support us as we stood with Akinyi. The list of those who supported her is long and includes businesswoman Wamorgan, businesswoman Dama Wa Mobile, and many others, including the owner of Madini Water,” she said.

During her physical visit to the eatery on Thursday, January 22, 2026, Priscilla took time to address the owner directly, emphasising the importance of unity and mutual support.

She reminded her to remain grounded despite the sudden attention that came with trending online.

She reflected on her own past experiences of going viral, explaining that such moments can feel overwhelming and disorienting, but should never cause one to lose their sense of identity.

“I said that we should support one another because unity is strength and division is weakness. I could see that you were trembling, and I understand how it feels to trend because I have also experienced moments when I went viral and felt as though I was floating in the air. At times, it even feels like you have been taken to a different country altogether, but I want to remind you not to forget yourself and to remember that you are still the same person,” she said.

In a gesture of optimism, Priscilla shared her hope that the renewed attention would translate into long-term growth for the business, including the possibility of expanding operations through a catering vehicle branded in the restaurant’s name.

“Very soon, we hope that you will be able to buy a catering vehicle for this restaurant and name it Tule Kienyeji. I also want to thank all the TikTokers from Nakuru and beyond for coming out to support her,” she said.
