Philip Aroko, governor Kihika visit viral Nakuru TikTok Lady’s hotel, top
Homa Bay county politician Philip Aroko, on Thursday, January 22, 2026, visited the now famous Kula Kienyeji hotel in Nakuru county.
Through his X account, Aroko shared that he lived up to a promise he had made by going to visit Harriet Akinyi’s hotel. He went on to say that he was overwhelmed with joy and inspiration after he experienced the young entrepreneur in action.
Aroko described Akinyi as the epitome of what passion and perseverance look like, praising her for her energy.

“I kept my promise and finally made it to Akinyi Restaurant in Nakuru. Seeing my sister, Akinyi, pour her heart into this business as a young entrepreneur is truly inspiring; she’s a reminder of what grit looks like.”
He also mentioned that the visit was even more special for him as he got to experience the place with Nakuru County governor Susan Kihika, who was coincidentally also there at that time.
Energy surrounding the hotel
In the post, the former Kasipul constituency MP aspirant wished Akinyi the best as she looks to grow her business even further.
“The energy today was unmatched; it felt like a moment of pure synchronicity to share the same space with Governor Susan Kihika. There’s something powerful about being in a room where local dreams and leadership cross paths. Wishing Akinyi nothing but growth.”

“In the spirit of ubuntu, we celebrate the Nakuru chapter for its incredible support. Akinyi is a vital part of our family, and her restaurant is a hidden gem. Let us make it a daily habit to visit, enjoy her delicious cooking and show her that we are behind her every step of the way.” Aroko stated.
Harriet Akinyi rose to fame after she posted a TikTok rant highlighting the poor state of her business, stating that she was quitting and considering ending her life.
Hours after her post, Kenyans online and on the ground were quick to direct their support towards her, not just with words of encouragement, but also with physical presence at her hotel as customers and others made food donations to help her get back on her feet.
