Top 10 songs on Kenya’s YouTube chart as Kapitani’s ‘Safe’ dethrones Toxic Lyrikali

Kenyan rapper Kapitani has taken the top spot on Kenya’s YouTube trending music chart with his latest release Safe, ending Toxic Lyrikali’s hit Hongo Ya Karao Vol. II’s run at the top after weeks of commanding the chart.

As of Saturday, September 26, 2026, Kapitani’s Safe, a song that takes listeners through his childhood, the loss of his parents and the pain of growing up as an orphan, is at Number1.

Wakadinali’s Blow rises to Number 2

Wakadinali’s BLOW (DELUXE) has climbed to Number 2 after the group released a new version of the song.

The track had previously been released as an audio before the official music video dropped on September 22,2026.

The new version also features the group’s third member, Sewersydaa, who was not part of the original audio release, adding a fresh dimension to the track and helping propel it to the second position.

The rise puts Wakadinali just behind Kapitani’s Safe at the top of the latest rankings.

Toxic lyrikali hits drop

The latest rankings also see Toxic Lyrikali’s other hit, Otero, by Zzero Sufuri featuring the rapper, drop to No. 4 after previously climbing to No. 2 on the chart.

Meanwhile, Hongo Ya Karao Vol. II has slipped to Number 6 after spending weeks among the leading songs on the chart.

The two tracks continue to give Toxic Lyrikali a strong presence in the Top 10 despite their latest drops.

Bongo music dominates the chart

Chege and Mbosso’s Ubaya takes the third position, placing the collaboration ahead of Otero at Number 4.

Waithaka wa Jane’s JONASI (NDI SINGLE) is at Number 5, while Joel Lwaga and Diamond Platnumz’s Nikumbuke occupies Number 7.

Harmonize has two entries in the Top 10, with Imeshindikana at Number 8 and Kudos at Number 10. Nadia Mukami and Arrow Bwoy’s YUMBA complete the Top 10 at Number 9.
