Tanzanian singer Ibraah has officially released the highly anticipated remix of his hit song Uhakika, this time enlisting the vocal prowess of fellow Bongo Flava star Zuchu in a collaboration that has already generated excitement among fans across East Africa.

The remix was officially released on Sunday, July 5, 2026, and made available on YouTube and major digital streaming platforms under ONErpm, with the new version retaining the emotional foundation of the original song while introducing Zuchu’s distinctive vocals and fresh musical interpretation.

According to the official release details, the remix was written by Ibrahim Abdallah Nampunga, popularly known as Ibraah, with production handled by Cukie Daddy, while Zuchu also received remix credits for her contribution to the new version.

The release marks another major collaboration between two of Tanzania’s biggest contemporary music stars, combining Ibraah’s emotional storytelling with Zuchu’s soulful vocals to deliver a refreshed rendition of one of the year’s most popular love songs.

The original Uhakika was released on April 10, 2026, as the third track on Ibraah’s Poison Medicine EP, a project that explores the emotional complexities of romantic relationships.

Describing the extended play during its release, Ibraah explained that Poison Medicine was inspired by the reality that love can sometimes be both healing and painful at the same time.

According to the singer, the project takes listeners through an emotional journey of passion, joy, heartbreak and healing, highlighting how relationships can leave people feeling both fulfilled and wounded.

“Poison Medicine is a deeply emotional project that explores the duality of love, how it can heal you and break you at the same time. This EP takes you through a journey of passion, pain, happiness, and heartbreak. Each track reflects the reality of loving someone who can feel like both a cure and a curse,” he captioned the YouTube release.

He described the EP as a reflection of the beauty and chaos of love, where the same person who brings happiness can also become the source of emotional pain.

“From the highs of being in love to the lows of emotional wounds, Poison Medicine captures the beauty and the chaos of relationships, where what hurts you is sometimes the same thing that keeps you alive,” Ibraah added.

Following its release in April, Uhakika quickly resonated with listeners, attracting millions of views on YouTube and becoming one of the standout tracks from the project thanks to its heartfelt lyrics and relatable message about love and commitment.

The song has since amassed more than 2.5 million views on YouTube, cementing its place among Ibraah’s most successful releases in recent months.
