Miley Cyrus receives her star in Hollywood Walk of Fame

Musical icon Miley Cyrus received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday.
The Grammy Award winner and actress, beloved for her role in the popular Disney Channel sitcom “Hannah Montana,” was presented with the honour in a star-studded ceremony in Los Angeles.
In an emotional speech, Cyrus spoke about her song “Walk of Fame,” off her 2025 “Something Beautiful” album, which was co-written by songwriter, musician and Alabama Shakes frontwoman Brittany Howard. Howard also contributed vocals and played guitar on the track.
“This star somehow represents immortality. Although I love the lyric, the fact I won’t [live forever] is what creates the urgency that sets my heart on fire, my life and my art, and my desire to break down the walls of any boxes that we’ve been tricked to believe that exist,” she said.
“What feels so special to me about this star is that it’s an accumulation of devotion. A star isn’t something that you win like a seasonal game. It’s not something that you can chase or collect. It’s not something you make the next record for.”
“My name is laid in gold and pink terrazzo, and it’s fierce, and it’s fun, and it’s fabulous,” Cyrus continued. “And I’m in Versace hand-picked from the atelier archives by Donatella herself, which makes it even more fun, and even more fierce and even more fabulous.”
She closed her speech by thanking her fans, family, and her “future family”, a nod to her fiancé, musician Maxx Morando, who was also in attendance.
Actress Anya Taylor-Joy and designer Donatella Versace also spoke during the ceremony, giving heartfelt tributes to the singer. Cyrus is the 2,845th recipient of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Cyrus wore an Atelier Versace gown from the fall 2015 collection a sexy deep cut, previously seen on supermodel Heidi Klum that same year. But this is a gown made for a true rock star: the dress very much a naked dresswas made up of sinewy black webbed material and embroidery, with a criss-crossing neckline.
She paired it with studded stilettos. Cyrus’s makeup followed her usually smoked out, siren style, with a hazy eye and nude lip. She wore brow-skimming bangs and her blonde hair tousled.
