MC Jimmie Kajim recounts final day he worked with slain PCEA Reverend Julius Ndumia
Media personality and events host MC Jimmie Kajim has shared an emotional tribute recounting the final moments he spent with slain Rev. Julius Ngari Ndumia, describing their last interaction as one filled with laughter and light moments, now turned into a painful memory.
In a Facebook message shared on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, Kajim revealed that he had recently worked alongside the PCEA minister at an event where he served as the master of ceremonies while Rev. Ndumia delivered the sermon.
He recalled how they joked together, with the clergyman even playfully asking those present to refer to him simply as “Julius” rather than “Ndumia”.
According to Kajim, the moment, which included taking photos together, seemed ordinary at the time, but has since taken on a deeply emotional meaning following the reverend’s sudden death.
“I am still in utter shock over the demise of this servant of God. We laughed and joked together on this day. I remember you telling everyone, “Don’t call me Ndumia, refer to me as Julius.” Ooh no… death, where is your sting?” Kajim wrote.

The MC expressed shock over the killing, stating that it was difficult to come to terms with the loss of someone he had interacted with so recently.
He described Rev. Ndumia as a humble and remarkable servant of God whose presence left a lasting impression.
“I was the MC, and you were the one giving the Word. Little did we know that this moment would become a memory so painful to hold onto. We even took photos together, and Kajim Events Ltd had the honour of covering the event,” Kajim added.
Kajim also extended his condolences to the family of the late minister, including his wife, children, friends, and the wider church community, wishing them strength and comfort during the difficult period.
At the same time, he called for justice for the slain clergyman, expressing hope that those responsible for the killing would be held accountable.
“May God grant peace, strength, and comfort to your dear wife, children, friends, and the entire church fraternity during this difficult season. May those who killed you never know peace, and may justice prevail for the life that was lost. What a humble and remarkable servant of God you were. Rest in peace, Rev. Julius Ndumia,” he added.

Rev. Ndumia, a minister at Tabuga Parish under the Presbyterian Church of East Africa, was killed by unknown assailants at his residence, in an incident that has shocked the church and the wider community.
His death has continued to draw reactions from colleagues, friends, and congregants, many of whom have been sharing tributes remembering his life, work, and impact in ministry.
