Mbote Njogu introduces MC Gogo to Muratina after meeting in Naivasha for Safari Rally: “Hii ni mafuta”
Revered Kikuyu content creator Mbote Njogu has wowed popular city emcee MC Gogo after showing him the many jerrycans of the local brew, Muratina, he was carrying for his team and revellers in Naivasha during the ongoing WRC Safari Rally 2026.
In a video shared on Mbote’s TikTok page on Saturday, March 14, 2026, MC Gogo is seen being taken aback by the contents of the well-sealed jerrycans.
He jokingly remarked that he thought it was car fuel, highlighting the surprise many had upon realising it was the traditional local brew.
“At first, I even thought this muratina was car fuel. I couldn’t believe it was actually Muratina. Imagine, there are even five full mitungi here; these people really came prepared,” MC Gogo said.
Mbote then explained to MC Gogo that this was authentic Muratina, and they had come to Naivasha to enjoy it in the proper spirit.
“This is muratina. I’ve come to Naivasha to share it with my team and the revellers, and it’s all properly arranged. We’re here to enjoy it in the right way,” Mbote explained.

MC Gogo observed the preparation and arrangement of the Muratina, noting how well organised the setup was, with multiple mitungi (traditional containers) ready for sampling.
He expressed amazement at the sight of five full mitungi, emphasising that the team had gone all out in preparation.
“Everyone has really organised themselves. This is proper muratina, and the energy here is amazing. You can see they planned everything well,” MC Gogo said.
Adding to the experience, Mbote Njogu noted that MC Gogo’s colleague, DJ Dafty, had already received his share of Muratina and had tasted it, setting the tone for a fun and spirited introduction.
“MC Gogo’s colleague, DJ Dafty, has already received his share of muratina and tasted it. We are so happy. And now I want MC Gogo to come and experience the power of the rally car I am driving; it’s powerful, just like this brew,” Mbote said.
Mbote then invited MC Gogo to experience the power of the rally car he was driving, linking the excitement of the Safari Rally with the energy and strength of the traditional brew.
