TikTok content creator Kaluma Boy has emotionally celebrated a major recovery milestone after his father, who previously spent months bedridden and in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), was seen walking again on his own.

In a touching post shared on Facebook on Saturday, May 16, 2026, Kaluma Boy uploaded a photo showing his father standing and walking independently in what many followers described as a miraculous moment, considering the difficult health journey the family has endured over the past months.

The young TikToker then reflected on the painful season they had gone through, saying the moment reminded them never to lose hope, no matter how impossible life may seem.

“This moment reminded us to never give up, no matter how impossible it looks,” he wrote.

Kaluma Boy noted that seeing his father rise again after being knocked down by illness had strengthened his faith and gratitude towards God.

He thanked God for the progress, describing the recovery journey as one that had tested the family emotionally, physically and financially.

“Standing again after life knocks you down, thank you God🙏❤️❤️,” he added.

The emotional update comes months after Kaluma Boy publicly documented his father’s painful battle with illness after suffering a stroke in August 2024.

At one point, his father was admitted to Kenyatta National Hospital where he spent three months in the ICU before later remaining in hospital wards for additional months as doctors monitored his recovery.

The family’s story touched many Kenyans after Kaluma Boy consistently shared emotional TikTok videos showing himself caring for his bedridden father while also working in tea farms to help raise money for medical expenses.

His authenticity and dedication sparked nationwide support from TikTokers, church members, celebrities and well-wishers who contributed towards treatment and family support.

The family later held a Thanksgiving ceremony at Jesus Compassion Ministry led by Ben Kiengei, where prayers and fundraising efforts were conducted to support the father’s treatment and recovery journey.

At the time, Kaluma Boy’s father could barely move on his own and remained dependent on medical assistance and family support.
