Jacque Maribe opens up on pain after her father’s death
Former TV news anchor Jacque Maribe has opened up about the pain she is going through following the death of her father.
She says grief has taken over her emotions in a way she did not expect, leaving her overwhelmed and unable to control her tears.
Jacque says she had tried to grieve quietly and at her own pace, but the loss has suddenly become too heavy to manage. She explains that the pain has arrived without warning and has affected her deeply.
“I don’t know what stage of grief this is, but I can’t stop the tears from flowing,” Jacque wrote on Monday, January 12, 2026, on Instagram.
Her words show the confusion and emotional weight she is carrying as she tries to understand her feelings.

She adds, “I’ve been meaning to grieve in my own way and time and pace, but it’s suddenly hitting me like a rocket ball.” Jacque explains that the pain feels sudden and intense, leaving her emotionally drained.
Jacque describes how the grief has affected her whole being.
“Every inch of my being hurts,” she says, showing how deeply the loss of her father has impacted her life.
Grief came without warning
Despite the pain, Jacque tries to find comfort in the thought that her father is at peace.
She said, “I hope you are having one blast of a party in heaven dad, so that these tears make sense, my friend!” Her message mixes sorrow with love and hope.”

In an earlier tribute, Jacque described her father as a man she admired deeply. She referred to him as “the very definition of perfection,” showing the strong bond they shared.
She asked, “Sasa, what do I tell a man like you?” Jacque says she struggles to find words that can capture her love and loss at the same time.
Jacque admits the future feels uncertain without him.
“I don’t know how I will live without you dad,” she says, revealing how central he was in her life and sense of strength.
However, she finds some peace in believing that he is no longer suffering.
“But I know you are not in pain,” Jacque added, holding onto that belief as she mourns.
She ends her tribute by expressing her deep love for her father. “I love you with everything in me,” she says, showing the lasting connection they shared.
