Ivy Trizah Muhenje has been crowned Miss World Kenya 2026, marking a new chapter in her journey as she prepares to represent the country on the global stage.
In a statement on Friday, December 19, 2025, the Mr and Miss World Kenya office officially announced the crowning of Ivy Trizah Muhenje as the new Miss World Kenya 2026, marking a strategic shift aimed at strengthening Kenya’s performance on the global stage.
The announcement was made during an exclusive press conference and cocktail event at the Holiday Inn in Two Rivers, where the pageant formally passed the crown. Organisers described the move as the beginning of a new era of Beauty with a Purpose, placing greater emphasis on impact, preparedness, and international readiness.
According to the franchise, the decision to hold an intimate crowning ceremony this year was driven by uncertainty surrounding the Miss World global pageant calendar.
With international dates remaining fluid and reports of a possible global final as early as March, the organisation opted to finalise Kenya’s representative early to avoid missing critical global deadlines.
This proactive approach allows the franchise to channel all immediate efforts and resources into Ivy’s preparation, including an intensive boot camp, wardrobe development, and the strengthening of her Beauty with a Purpose project. The goal, organisers said, is to ensure Kenya is fully prepared for the 73rd Miss World global finals.
Despite the change in approach, the Mr and Miss World Kenya office confirmed that it still plans to host its traditional Grand Finale event at the end of 2026, during which Mr & Miss World Kenya 2027 will be crowned.
“The franchise is still excited to continue to plan for our usual Grand Finale and event for the end of 2026 to crown Mr & Miss World Kenya 2027,” read the statement.
