Miss World Kenya Ivy Trizah Muhenje returns home after emerging top 5 in Africa

Miss World Kenya Ivy Trizah Muhenje is back home after representing Kenya on the international stage, returning to an emotional welcome from her family, friends and supporters.
“Kenya, your daughter is back!” Trizah declared in a post celebrating her return home after her Miss World journey on Monday, September 7,2026.
The 23-year-old beauty queen said coming back to Kenya after carrying the country’s flag on the global stage was a moment she would always remember.
“After carrying our flag on the world stage, I’m finally home. Top 5 in Africa, Top 20 in the World, a journey I will forever remember and cherish,” she said.
Trizah arrived back in Kenya accompanied by her franchise director, Terry Mungai, and was welcomed by family and friends at the airport.
She described the reunion as an emotional moment, saying she was overwhelmed by the reception she received.
“Coming home with my franchise director, @terrymungai8, and seeing my family and friends waiting at the airport was a moment I’ll never forget,” she said.
“The hugs, the smiles, the tears… I felt the love of Kenya. Thank you for believing in your daughter.”

Trizah also reflected on the journey that took her from Kenya to the Miss World stage, describing her return as the fulfilment of a dream.
“I’m home, Motherland. I left home with a dream… and today, I’m finally home,” she said.
She added that seeing the people who had come out to welcome her brought tears to her eyes.
“Seeing my family, friends, and so many beautiful faces waiting for me brought tears to my eyes,” Trizah said.
“The hugs. The smiles. The love. There truly is no place like home.”

Trizah’s Miss World journey
Trizah made her mark at the 75th Miss World Festival in Vietnam, where she secured a Top 5 position in Africa in the Multimedia Challenge.
The achievement placed her among five African finalists alongside contestants from Namibia, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.
The Multimedia Challenge recognised contestants for the quality, creativity, authenticity and consistency of their digital platforms, as well as purposeful storytelling and their ability to connect with audiences.
Her performance extended beyond the Multimedia Challenge.
Trizah was also named among the Top 6 in Africa and Top 24 worldwide in the Beauty With a Purpose challenge, Top 3 in Africa and Top 24 worldwide in the Sports Challenge, and Top 6 in Africa and Top 21 worldwide in the Top Model Round 2 Challenge.
