Gospel singer Edith Wairimu thanks fans for supporting her after father’s death

Gospel singer Edith Wairimu has shared an emotional message of gratitude, thanking all those who stood with her family after her father, Livingstone Mwaura Njeri, died.
In the message shared on Facebook on Friday, May 22, 2026, Edith reflected on the spiritual strength that carried her through the painful season, quoting scripture and expressing belief that even in moments of deep grief, strength is drawn from God.
She extended heartfelt appreciation to individuals and groups who physically showed up for the burial arrangements, including those who arrived days before the ceremony, those who stayed through the burial day, and even those who left early because of the emotional weight of the moment.
“In battle, you draw strength from God alone. But sometimes, he sends angels to deliver it. Luke 22:43 NKJV “Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.” I’m just here to say thank you
. To everyone who came days before the burial; on the day of the burial, left before photos because I was too broken; or sent your love and support through someone else,” she wrote.
Edith also acknowledged media support, specifically thanking Kameme FM for announcing her father’s passing without charging the family, a gesture she said helped in informing the public and rallying support.
She further appreciated protocol teams that volunteered their services during the burial, helping to maintain order throughout the proceedings, as well as men and women of God, including apostles, reverends, and pastors who attended in large numbers to offer prayers and spiritual support.
The gospel singer also recognised friends and well-wishers who contributed financially, emotionally, and spiritually, noting that many continued to give support even after the burial had taken place.
“To Kameme FM that announced dad’s demise for free …To protocol teams that showed up freely and kept order…To men and women of God that came in numbers (Apostles, Reverends, Pastors…), to friends who gave and keep giving even now,” the singer shared.

She said she was deeply touched by those who offered simple but powerful gestures such as hugs, phone calls, messages, comments, and prayers, which she described as crucial in holding her up during moments of emotional breakdown.
“To all who showed up, gave me a hug, called, texted, messaged, left a comment that upheld me, or just said a prayer of strength for me,” she added.
Edith also paid tribute to the Holy Spirit, describing Him as ever-present and constant throughout her grief journey, saying she felt sustained by divine peace and guidance during the entire process.
She confirmed that her father had been laid to rest respectfully and described the send-off as befitting, saying it brought her a sense of closure and contentment despite the pain of loss.
Now beginning a healing journey, Edith said she is taking life one day at a time and trusting in God for strength, while also extending encouragement to others going through grief or unseen struggles, reminding them of a peace that surpasses human understanding.
“O the Holy Spirit who has been ever present, ever true, ever God… Thank you, Dad. Rested. The Lord received Him. And we gave him a befitting send-off. That meant everything to me, and I’m content. Now the healing begins. One day at a time. Thank you, Holy Spirit; you are already in control
. I love you, Holy Spirit. And I trust you,” she added.
