Celebrated gospel singer Evelyn Wanjiru has shared a touching message of encouragement to women struggling with infertility, reflecting on her own decade-long journey to motherhood.

In a congratulatory post shared on Instagram on Monday, February 9, 2026, to travel vlogger Trudy Juma, alias Miss Trudy, who recently welcomed her first child after suffering six miscarriages and waiting for five years, Wanjiru celebrated the joy of motherhood and emphasised the importance of patience and faith.

The gospel singer went on and revealed that her son would be turning four years old in a few weeks.

“The best news and best gift from God, congratulations @misstrudy. I can relate – my husband and I waited 10 years, and now my son is almost four years old. God is never late. I am so happy for you. You are going to be a great mom and will enjoy motherhood,” Wanjiru wrote.

She also expressed gratitude, acknowledging divine intervention.

“Thank you, Lord; you have done it for them, @mrghanababy,” she added.

Evelyn’s first child

On April 6, 2022, the gospel singer announced the birth of her baby boy.

In the heartfelt post shared on her Instagram account, Wanjiru revealed that they waited for a decade, and finally God answered their prayers.

On April 6th 2022 God gave us a gift of a baby boy!! This is a testimony my husband and I have been waiting on God for the last 10 years. Welcome to the world baby. MSHINDI AKWEYU AGUNDABWENI, your entire family is so in love with you!

We are excited to see you grow and become that great person God intended you to be! You are a dream come true, an answered prayer and greatest gift from God!” She wrote.

The singer also thanked her husband for providing the support system she needed throughout this time and expressed her joy at the prospect of raising their kid together.

“Agundabweni Akweyu I thank God for you my husband you are a real gem and a true God-given gift! I love you! Am excited and ready to raise him together with you!”she added.
